In reply to Nadya. I haven't added veggies for this particular recipe, but I often do for my pot roasts. The key is to cut the veggies into large chunks so they don't turn to mush with the long cook time. Onions, carrots, and potatoes are all great. I might even add green beans or tomatoes, but I would add those in the last hour of cooking. Enjoy!
